MDS Records Management has a top-of-the-line climate control room. In this room we can store all of your magnetic media or any other records that need to be environmentally protected. A Liebert Deluxe System 3 is used to control the heating, cooling, humidification, and de-humidification 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
A generator has been installed to operate these systems in times of power failure. Climate Control Room #1 is protected by an Inergen total flooding, gaseous, clean agent, fire suppression system and associated fire detection system. Inergen is environmental and personnel friendly.
Climate Control Room #2 is protected by a 3M Novec 1230 Fire Suppression System. We began using this new room in March, 2006.
Each of these rooms is heated to between 63 degrees and 67 degrees year-around. The humidity is kept at 35% with a 2% variance. Each room has 4-hour fire walls.
